Off-Piste Skiing: The Vallee Blanche

SKVB 16.03 Vallee Blanche with Smiths 01 1500px.jpeg

Is this the right course for me?

The Valleé Blanche is the most famous off-piste ski descent in the world: 22km long, 2700m of descent, surrounded by stunning Alpine peaks. There are many variations on the standard route, for example:

  • Petit Envers

  • Grand Envers

  • Ski the Italian side of the Valleé Blanche from the Helbronner cable car, or from the Aiguille du Midi cable car station with ski touring kit.

You will need to be an intro/intermediate skier, and you will need to have fitness level 1 to undertake the standard route; more technical variations are done at smaller ratios and require higher levels of ability and fitness. Please see the Essential Information for Skiing page for fitness and skiing ability levels.

What will the programme look like?

What’s the maximum ratio?

1:6 for the standard route, smaller ratios if more technical variations are planned.

What dates are available?

You choose the date, and we tailor the programme for you. Available dates are shown in the Skiing section on the calendar.
